DMSG takes home two #awards at the Fast Growth 50

As the dust settles from this year’s Fast Growth 50, we are still pinching ourselves that we are the second fastest growing company in Wales and finished the glitzy and glamorous evening with two awards: Creative and Knowledge Industries and Fastest Growing firm in Cardiff.

More than 900 people poured into the iconic Motorpoint Arena in the heart of Cardiff, on Friday 19th October, to recognise the hard work and determination of some of the fastest growing firms in Wales. The Fast Growth 50, celebrating it’s 20th year, is firmly established as “the list of business success that entrepreneurs across Wales aspire to.” It is a reminder of the perseverance and talent of Welsh entrepreneurs who create both wealth and employment across Wales.

Since launching in 1999, 577 Welsh businesses have appeared on nineteen lists, and have been estimated to have created around 38,000 jobs, generating an estimated £20 billion of additional turnover. This is an enormous contribution to the Welsh economy and we are immensely proud to be identified as one of the fifty fastest growing firms in Wales out of an estimated 250,000 businesses.

Professor Dylan Jones-Evans, creator of the Wales Fast Growth 50, said “I am delighted that DMSG won two of the major awards in this year’s 2018 Wales Fast Growth 50. To be named as one of the top fifty firms from over 250,000 Welsh businesses is an accolade that every firm should aspire to and I hope to see DMSG go from strength to strength as they develop over the next few years.”

As well as winning the two awards, DMSG came second in the list of fastest growing companies in Wales with a turnover increase of 2244.6%. This is a proud moment for DMSG as it represents the team’s hard work and the enterprising spirit of the business.

Paul Mathews, founder of DMSG, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for us and a validation of the hard work and commitment from all of our employees, partners and clients who have been part of the journey so far.”

The success of our business to date is very much attributable to the great team of people that we have within the organisation. We opened an office in Cardiff and made it a key objective to recruit locally as it is important to us as a local business that we contribute to the Welsh economy. Wales is now an established market leader within the technology market and with Cardiff being at the centre of economic activity, it is a great place for us to grow as a forward-looking technology and people practice.

Reflecting on our journey to date, we are proud of what we have achieved and are delighted that our team and our clients have received recognition for their commitment and loyalty. We look forward to building on these strong foundations and playing a key role in the economic growth and stability of the Welsh economy.
