As 2019 comes to a close, in the run-up to Christmas we are reflecting on some of the things we are most proud of this year.
2019 has certainly been a year of change and development for bedigital so our second post focuses around our progression this year.
We started the year with a re-brand, changing our name from DMSG to bedigital. This change was the next step in bringing all of our service offerings and companies under a single brand family. The aim was to align with our sister business, talentbe, and give ourselves a steppingstone when adding new branches to our family under one umbrella. We’re extremely happy with how this has been received, and how it has helped us to elevate our brand this year.
Our Founder, Paul Matthews said,” five years into our journey, after cementing our position as a supplier of choice for the public sector, as we transition and gain market share in the private sector, changing our name and modernising our brand felt like the logical next step”.
Following the rebrand, we then made the strategic decision to open a London office. Our client base has always been geographically spread across the depth and breadth of the UK, with clients as far north as Manchester and Blackpool and as far south as Cardiff and Swansea. With the appointment of our client engagement director, Matthew Alcock, in February, it made sense that our next office would be in London.
We launched the office in September with two full time hires and are very excited to be expanding that to four in January 2020. Based out of WeWork in Aldgate, the collaborative and flexible environment is perfect for us to scale next year.
With Brexit looming over us for yet another year, IR35 closing in on the private sector and the skill shortage not offering any let-up, 2019 has been a challenging year for most of our clients. We’ve always operated in an agile manner in order to support our customers, which is why we have realigned our service offerings to provide a three-sixty solution that captures both projects and people.
Adding to our existing IT solution and transformation services, and our bench management programme, we have enhanced our people services to now offer retained and search services and traditional permanent recruitment. We recognise that simply delivering a project isn’t always enough, the value-add is in being able to ensure that our clients are self-sufficient once we have transitioned out. Using our team of talent experts, we are able to support our clients to attract, train and retain employees that will allow our work to be sustainable post-departure.
In what has been a year of change and excitement for bedigital, we are ending on a high and looking forward to some exciting new plans in 2020 which include launching a new podcast, partnering with a PR company, and adding some new faces to our London team.
A special thank you to our valued associate network who have achieved some amazing things this year and to our clients and partners whom we look forward to collaborating with in 2020.
